Lovely links for you – here is some of the stuff I’ve read lately:
- I’ve been amazed by all my new Twitter followers I’ve received lately (you find me here at Twitter), Twitter is clearly going mainstream. Here are 5 ways to discover new Twitter applications.
- SocialToo is another useful Twitter tool (follow/unfollow stats, surveys automatic following, etc).
- Always active Online Journalism blog has an interesting piece about when Twitter came to the surface When did you first hear about Twitter?
- Back to basics – lots of useful links and winks How to get started in social media
- iGov – How geeks are opening up the government on the web, article in the Atlantic.
- Much has already been said about the free music player Spotify (which I love), Jan Omdahl has a nice piece in Dagbladet (Norwegian) here. I got my invitation through some superkind Twitterfriends.
- Thomas F. Anglero aka Wihood has been awarded one of the most successful immigrants in Norway. Congratulation!
- A couple of interesting eDemocracy sites: USAspending.gov and VoteWatch.eu (not active yet, but the idea seems to be to monitoring of MEPs’ voting behaviour)
- If in doubt –Bush 43 is the worst president of the last 50 years
- For the Girl Geeks out there, a challenge to you! “I will publish a blog post on Tuesday 24th March about a woman in technology whom I admire but only if 1,000 other people will do the same.”
- Clo Willaerts at Brussels Girl Geek Dinner has pledged to do the same. Next Girl Geek Dinner in Brussels, probably Feb 4.
Thank you Bente! It is quite an honor!
